Like so many educators before me I want to provide opportunites for children to a postive future now and 100 years from now. In the hopes that they will pass it on to any child that crosses their path.

Naeyc Ideals
One of the first code of ethics that i found most important said "We shall involve all those with relevant knowledge (including families and staff) in decisions concerning a child, as appropriate, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information"
- this important because the more we stick together the more knowledgeable we become in order to provide a better education for the child and for each other.
the next section was "We shall use appropriate assessment systems. Each child should be a given a chance to be assessed appropriately. I appreciate the fact that when doing assessment especially for our ESL families their assessments are done in their native language.
This also includes making decisions such as
those related to enrollment, retention, or assignment
to special education services, will be based on multiple sources of information and will never be based
on a single assessment, such as a test score or a single
observation.
